All About Atlanta Pet Fair: Highlights of the Hottest Show in Grooming and Pet Services

When thousands of talented groomers and pet service professionals gather for the most-anticipated event of the year, great things are bound to happen. The 2019 Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference, held March 7-10 at the Georgia International Convention Center, was no exception. With more than 2,500 pet stylists and 100 leading exhibitors in attendance, it was the place to see and be seen. From expert education to exciting competitions, see what the pet pros took away from their experience.

Trendy Trims Are on the Rise Today’s customers are attuned to the latest style trends and fashion fads—meaning groomers must be, too. From Continental Trims to Asian-Fusion Style, Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference set the stage for success by enlisting expert speakers to offer trend-setting insights and hands-on learning opportunities in highly attended education sessions. This year even featured Denys Lorrain, vice president of the European Grooming Association, offering expert advice on international grooming innovations for stylists of all experience levels.

A Safety-First Mentality Is a Must Grooming safety is under close scrutiny, and it’s more important than ever for stylists to stay up to date on skills and training. From onsite certifications to hands-on CPR classes, Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference’s full schedule of sessions dedicated to training and safety gave groomers actionable steps to apply to their daily work.

C Stands for Connections, Camaraderie and Creativity Networking, ideas sharing, and socializing are all popular aspects of Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference. This year’s show offered additional opportunities to connect with fellow grooming and pet service professionals through a fun social event: the all-new Paint & Sip Night, which allowed attendees to tap into their creative talent in an art class led by Heather Carter from Tickled Pink Pet Designs.

There’s Value in a Variety of Vendors Attendees take to the exhibit hall for an up-close-and-personal look at the latest goods and services to improve their business. The show floor was once again bustling with buyers sourcing the products pet owners are seeking in their local grooming salon. Hot products in 2019 included Bardel Bows Spring Collection, the new Doodle Bug Line, Groomers Helper No-Choke Lead, the Andis Pulse ZR®II Cordless Detachable Blade Clipper and more. So much more, in fact, that one attendee remarked, “The variety of vendors was excellent.”

Take it from one first-time attendee, who exclaimed, “This was my first time at Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference and I had so much fun! I will definitely be back!”

We’ll be back too! Mark your calendar for March 12-15, 2020, and join the fun at Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference.
